About CBT Counselling & Psychotherapy
CBT Counselling & Psychotherapy is premium counselling and psychotherapeutic practice centrally located in Sydney and Parramatta’s CBD.
Most of our clients work and live in a high-pressure environment which can sometimes lead to a range of stress related cognitive and behavioural disorders. It is not uncommon for example to treat clients suffering debilitating anxiety and/or depression.
These problematic disorders, and many others, can come about for a variety of reasons, sometimes stemming from unresolved family issues, sometimes with links back to one’s childhood, sometimes as a result of loss of or separation from a loved one, and sometimes from work-place pressures and interpersonal frictions, not to mention ‘burn-out’, and sometimes from substance dependence.
Our therapeutic approach is based on the concept that your mental health is equally as important as your physical health; and that nurturing your mental health is essential for living a truly fulfilled life. We believe that therapy should feel collaborative and empowering, rather than pathologizing.
